A rich and robust tea with a powerful smoky flavour (think campfire!). The characteristic taste is derived from being roasted over a pine wood fire and can definitely be described as intense.
Souchong leaves, noted for their thick, rough appearance, are withered over burning pine boughs, placed in barrels covered with cloth and allowed to oxidize. Some inferior teas are flavoured with chemicals in order to enhance the smokiness - not this one! The flavour is 100% natural and due entirely to the drying process.
Lapsang Souchong is a limited edition tea offered as a part of the Communi-tea Fundraising Program. All profits from the sale of the teas in this program are donated on a quarterly basis to one of charities listed here: Giving Back

Processing Time: All products are made to order. They are currently blended and packaged Wednesday-Friday, and shipped on Saturdays.
All orders received before midnight on Tuesday will be shipped by the Saturday of the same week. All orders received after midnight on Tuesday will be shipped by the Friday of the following week.
