Black Tea Blend
Inspired by the deliciously dark and decadent Black Forest Cake, this Darjeeling based blend features chocolate, cherries, raspberries and vanilla.
Beautiful on its own, it's amazing with a splash of cream and a hint of honey.
What Makes this Tea Amazing: Where to start? This tea is filled with amazing ingredients! I started with a certified organic, genuine 2nd flush Darjeeling Estate tea (always a good place to start....), and added real vanilla beans (certified organic, fair trade and certified Kosher). To this I added freeze-dried cherries and raspberries from VanDrunen Farms. They add unbelievable taste and are certified organic (USDA) and Kosher (OU).
But wait... I'm not finished! What gives this blend the amazing chocolaty taste? The secret is the Tisano chocolate tea. Derived from cacao shells, Tisano chocolate tea is a unique product that I am thrilled to be able to use in my own tea blends. In addition to its gorgeous chocolaty taste, it provides theobromine (a natural mood enhancer), magnesium, potassium and anti-oxidants. Preparation Steep 1 tsp of tea blend in 8oz of freshly boiled, filtered water for 3-7 minutes. Add milk, lemon or sweetener if desired.
