Thunderstorm (Smoked Black Tea Blend)

Inspired by a thunderstorm in the Okinagan, this intense tea has a wonderfully complex flavour profile. Sweet, Spicy and Smoky.

This tea is perfect for those who enjoy the smoky flavour of Lapsang souchong but find it a little too intense on its own. The seriously smokey flavour of Lapsang souchong (think campfire) is softened by the sweetness of licorice and figs and cinnamon, and finished off with the beautiful spicy pink peppercorns. Definitely one of my most unique teas, and absolutely gorgeous in both taste and looks.

Certified Organic Luxury Ingredients:
• Lapsang Souchong Black Tea (Camellia sinensis)
• Cinnamon Bark (Cinnamomum cassia)
• Anise Seed (Pimpinella anisum)
• Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra
• Figs (Ficus carica)
• Pink Peppercorns (Shinus molle)

Contains No: Dairy, egg, wheat, soy, artificial preservatives, colours or flavours.

Cautions: Contains Caffeine.

Preparation and Dosage: Steep 1 tsp of tea blend in freshly boiled (100°C), filtered water for 5–7 minutes.

I am very proud to offer completely biodegradable and compostable zip pouches. They provide a high barrier protection against air, moisture and light (which all can decrease the quality and freshness of your tea) and will keep your tea fresh for approximately 2 years.

Processing Time: All teas are made to order. They are currently blended on Wednesdays and Thursdays and Shipped on Fridays. All orders received before midnight on Tuesday will be shipped by the Friday of the same week. All orders received after midnight on Tuesday will be shipped by the Friday of the following week.
